2016 Holiday Festivities In Savannah And Richmond Hill
As the holiday season begins, many people look forward to the events and activities in the local area. Savannah and Richmond Hill do a fantastic job spreading holiday cheer!
Below are just a handful of the exciting things to look forward to this season!
December Nights and Holiday Lights
Take a beautiful walking tour of the Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens decorated for the holidays! Children can enjoy a visit from Santa, music and train display on Saturday nights!
This display is open from 6-9pm on the following span of dates: November 30-December 4, December 7-11, December 14-24 and the final night is December 24.

Compassion Christian Church’s “The Journey”
The Compassion Christian Church’s “The Journey” is a beautiful live re-enactment of the story of Jesus’ birth with a great variety of musical performances, animals, and a chance to walk around the recreated Bethlehem Marketplace.
Performances are December 1-11 from 5-8pm. at the Compassion Christian Church – 55 Al Henderson Blvd. Tickets are $7-10 and free for children 5 years and younger.
Holly Jolly Tour
Visitors can explore Savannah’s holiday decor on an Old Town Trolley Tour where riders take in the view of historic homes and squares of Savannah, Christmas carols, and a stop to both the Davenport House and the Westin Resort’s “Gingerbread Village.”
Ticket prices are $25.70 for adults, $16 for children 4-12, and free for children under 4. For more information please visit their website.
Savannah Theatre’s “A Christmas Tradition”
People of all ages will enjoy the 2-hour variety show, “A Christmas Tradition” at the Savannah Theatre, featuring some of the holiday’s best known characters such as Frosty, reindeer and Santa!
This shows will be available December 1-10, Tuesdays through Saturdays at 8pm and matinees at 3pm on Saturdays & Sundays.

Richmond Hill Christmas Parade
Richmond Hill will be hosting its 21st annual Christmas Parade on December 3 from 10am-12pm at the JF Gregory Park Pavilion. “Christmas Around The World” is the theme this year boasting marching bands, Alee Shriners, Santa and more!

Richmond Hill Holiday Market
On December 10 from 11am-3pm in the J.F. Gregory Park, Richmond Hill will have over 70 vendors available for a day of holiday shopping at this fun-filled annual event!
Savannah Harbor Holiday Series
On December 1-4, 8-11 and 15-24, from 6-9pm, the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort and Spa will be holding a variety of festive activities for visitors. Christmas choirs, animal visits from the Oatland Island Wildlife Center, bonfire & hot chocolate as well as a chance to say hello to jolly old St. Nick are all the activities available!
