Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Savannah!

Savannah knows how to celebrate Irish heritage like no other city! This holiday is such a big deal that now there is even an app designated for it! From big festivals to sports activities there is something for everyone. If you haven’t made your St. Patrick’s Day plans yet be sure and check out this list of fun things to do in the Savannah area!

March 13 – Greening Of The Fountain
Join Savannah as the fountain in Forsyth park turns Irish green! The ceremony starts at noon and is suitable for all ages!

March 13 Irish Heritage Dance
Alee Temple will be hosting the beautiful art of Irish dancing and costume! The dancing begins at 8pm.

March 14 – March 17 St. Patrick’s Day Festival 
For 4 days spectators can enjoy this festival that takes place in downtown Savannah.
Activities for the 4 days will be crafters, vendors, yummy food, and live entertainment.
Hours for the event are as follows: Saturday, March 14 from 10am-1am, Sunday March,15 from 12:30 pm -10pm, Monday, March 16 from 11am-12am and Tuesday, March 17 from 10am-10pm.

March 14 – Tara Feis
The 24th annual Tara Feis performance will include live performances, step dance, food, crafts, bands and many more activities devoted to the beauty of Irish heritage. All activities are held at Emmet Park in Savannah.

March 14-15 Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Rugby Tournament
More than 75 teams across the United States including Ireland, England and Canada will be participating in this 2 day Rugby Tournament. This is a great event for sports fans!

March 16 Jasper Green Ceremony
Take the holiday to salute past and present members of the military in honor of Revolutionary War hero and fellow Irishman Sergeant William Jasper. The memorial ceremony takes place at 4:30pm in Madison Square.

March 17 – St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Starting at 10:15am the 191st Annual St. Patrick’s Parade will begin its journey at the corner of Gwinnett and Abercorn. You can access the entire parade route and other information on the parade website. You won’t want to miss this famous parade and all its excitement!
